Which session: Skill Up or Next Level?
- Skill Up is for those who are learning and mastering the 5 core skills: recall, heel, stay, stop and settle
- Next Level are for those who have a basic grasp of these skills but who want to improve and test them in the real world

Common Questions
- Is this suitable for reactive dogs? If you and your dog have the skillset to deal with situations that happen in popular public places, (people, dogs, wildlife, bikes, horses or livestock), you will do fine. If not, I recommend reaching out for 1-1 training first, so that you can develop this skillset in a more predictable, comfortable and safe environment
- Where is the session? Various locations around South Wales! Click the booking button to see the upcoming locations and dates
- Where to park? All the locations will have ample parking (sometimes paid), either in location or in nearby area. You can find more information about parking and costs on the event page, once you have booked.
- How long is the session? Up to 1.5h
- Is it suitable for puppies? The Skill Up might be suitable, depending on your pup's age and personality. Confident puppies who love playing with their handler and learning with food even when outside can take part. Puppies who are not confident and very easily distracted and owners who don't have a lot of experience would benefit from learning in a more predictable and easy environment.

Hi, I'm Aleks!
I help people with crazy, lovable, sassy young spaniels to build a happy life together.
I support them in learning the skills they need to be able to bring their dog anywhere with them and have wonderful adventures together.
I help them decipher their adolescent spaniel, discover how to harness their talents and create a true partnership.
I am a co-founder of Scurry Dog, a dog sport inspired by spaniels and developed for all active pets who want to play gundog games without bangs, guns and birds.
I'm an accredited dog training instructor with IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers), a Mantrailing UK instructor and a UK College of Scent Dogs instructor.
I've got 11 years of intensive practical experience in training and behaviour modification, with thousands of happy clients and successful programmes.
My life is all about dogs, continuous learning and practice, every single day.
I live in the Welsh mountains with my 5 dogs, including a working Cocker, Springer Spaniel, a Labrador Retriever, a Collie mix and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. We train and compete in several dog sports and training projects, including scent detection, competition obedience, working gundog tests and GRC/Canine Athletics. In winter, I'm part of a beating team on my local shoots with Raven, the cocker.
