Gundog Games (beginners) from 5th March

Group sessions for complete beginners in Bryn (6 sessions on selected Sundays)

Course Summary

Discover the fun side of gundog training in a friendly and positive, reward-based environment!

Gundog Games are about having fun with your spaniel, labrador, other retriever or HPR , giving them a job that matches their talents and energy, while also giving you a clear structure for your dog's everyday life skills training.

The only prerequisite is that your dog will happily focus on you in presence of other dogs and people.

If you don't yet have this connection with your dog, ask us about 121 training first.

Apart from the 1.5h group sessions, you will have access to a student group on FB.

Course Curriculum

Aleksandra Borawska

Hi, I'm Aleks!

I help people with crazy, lovable, sassy young spaniels, who want to share a happy, fun-packed and harmonious life.

I teach them the skills they need to be able to bring their dog to more fun places, without stress.

I help them decipher their adolescent spaniel, and work with, rather than against their nature.

I am a co-founder of Scurry Dog, a dog sport inspired by spaniels and developed for all active pets who want to play gundog games without bangs, guns and birds.

I'm an accredited dog training instructor with IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers), a former Mantrailing UK instructor and a UK College of Scent Dogs instructor.

I've got 13 years of intensive practical experience in training dogs, teaching dog owners and canine behaviour modification, with thousands of happy clients and successful stories.

Outside work, my life is all about dogs, fun training projects and outdoor adventures and voracious learning. Whenever possible, shared with friends and their dogs.

I live in the breath-taking Afan Valley in South Wales with my 5 dogs, including a working Cocker, Springer Spaniel, a Labrador Retriever, a Collie mix and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. We train and compete in several dog disciplines, including Scurry Dog, scent detection, competition obedience, working gundog tests and GRC/Canine Athletics. In winter, during the shooting season, we're part of the beating team on two local shoots.
